ANNETTE PUGH - ORNAMENT

In this new series of paintings Annette explores aspects of ornamentation and aspiration. The chandelier and the fountain, often seen as symbols of wealth and opulence, are depicted through a range of painterly marks and lush embellishment. Despite their associations, however, these decorative structures are sourced from humble locations; municiple parks, cafes and public houses. The full exhibition catalogue is below.>
