Skate Park is a collection of work from Birmingham artist Reuben Colley. The work depicts a series of profoundly modern landscapes with a sculptural contrast of skateboard ramps, half pipes and grind rails and uses the medium of oil on canvas. The collection includes images of skate parks located around Birmingham and the surrounding area, including Perry Barr, Kingstanding, Smith’s Wood and Bromford.

Reuben Colley was born in 1976 and is known for his cityscapes and depictions of Birmingham, UK. He studied in the West Midlands, first at Bournville Art College and then at the University of Wolverhampton. Reuben Colley’s style has an urban feel inspired by his upbringing in Birmingham and expresses a vision of beauty in unexpected places.
Reuben’s paintings are displayed in both private and public collections including Vitol Oil and Brown Shipley Private Bank as well as being featured in the Round Room in Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, and of course here at Colley Ison Gallery.
