An exhibition of paintings inspired by woodland, featuring major new collections by Reuben Colley and Mark Lippett.
The beauty and tranquillity of Sutton Park inspired Reuben Colley's woodland paintings. He captures the unique atmosphere of dense woodland, and the bridle ways and tracks which wind through the trees of Sutton Park. These paintings are spontaneous and impressionistic, and show Colley at the height of his powers.
Mark Lippett's woodland collection is based upon Cannock Chase. He lives close to Cannock Chase, and its mixed deciduous and coniferous forest has provided powerful material for his haunting paintings and drawings.
